Arriving in Canada

We spent a couple days in Erie. It was a good place for Anne to join some work meetings online and for Jim to knock down some boat projects. Anne worked from Radius, a coworking space in downtown Erie, which worked great for her.

We untied this morning at 5:30 and were rewarded with a lovely sunrise as we headed out of the bay.

After an uneventful journey we arrived in Port Colborne and tied up at the town dock. The dock is right next to downtown Port Colborne, so we had a nice stroll and sat down for dinner alongside the canal.

Not busy this early in the season

The Welland Canal connects Lake Erie to Lake Ontario and is used by pleasure boats and large oceangoing ships. We have a reservation for tomorrow morning. We will be saying goodbye to Lake Erie and hello to Lake Ontario.
