Sailing to Gaspé

If we had stayed in the marina overnight, we would have had difficulty getting out this morning. Happily, we anchored in the harbor last night and it was easy for us to head out when we wanted to go.

The wind was plentiful and we were able to sail in the right direction. With so much wind, we were hitting 10 kts at times. It was a great sail! To add to the joy, the scenery was beautiful: blue skies, impressive cliffs, quaint villages and lighthouses.

Guidance under sail

We had to put away the sails for the last bit of our journey to Gaspé, but we had a great day on the water. Arriving in Gaspe was a little tight, but we managed to find our slip and get tied up. We’re looking forward to a couple nights here. Rose will fly home tomorrow and a couple friends of ours will fly into Gaspé to join us.
