We had an easy journey from the Keweenaw Waterway to Marquette, MI. Alas, we never raised sails due to very light winds. The benefit was we just programmed a route into the autopilot and relaxed as the boat took us to Marquette. If you’re unfamiliar, think of autopilot as cruise control with steering. You still have to pay attention, but you can step away from the wheel for brief periods. We can even watch from the comfort of the cockpit! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The journey itself had several picturesque lighthouses along the way. We were so busy admiring them that we forgot to take a picture until the last one: the Granite Island Lighthouse. There are so many amazing lighthouses in this area!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
