We left the marina in Toronto at 8 am on Tuesday and set off for the Thousand Islands, located at the far eastern end of Lake Ontario. The wind was perfect for a broad reach, so we sailed until late in the day when the wind started to get shifty. We pushed on overnight with the engine until about 5 am when we were able to sail again. What a great delight to sail into the Thousand Islands!

We spent the early morning winding our way through the islands and channels to find an anchorage for the afternoon and tonight.

We can see why the Thousand Islands are so famous!
