We had an ambitious goal today: we wanted to cover 91 nm to an anchorage near a bird sanctuary in the St. Lawrence. Our normal cruising speed is about 6 kts (nm per hour). However, the current gave us a nice push and, at a couple spots, we were going 11 kts. We were at our goal by 7:30 this evening.

Along the way, we passed a couple notable sites

After we anchored, Anne made a delicious dinner for us while Jim got Starlink set up. Rose had brought the kit with her when she came into Quebec City. We hope this will make it easier for us to stay in contact with home and with Anne’s work.

We also confirmed that we are truly in salt water. The water that splashed onto the boat today left salt as it dried.
